AIR DISPLAY ADDITIONS & CHANGES
Tuesday 21st August – in the last few days organisers have made a few additions and changes to the Air Festival display programme. See below for more details.
Aircraft
Due to operational difficulties, surrounding the display certification, the Sea Vixen will be unable to participate in this year’s Air Festival. We hope to welcome her back next year and, in the meantime, we are looking at bringing in another vintage jet. As regular Festival goers know changes can and do always happen to the display and night air programme. We also get some fantastic surprises and we have a few up our sleeve which we hope will come to fruition and are looking forward to the Red Arrows opening the show on Thursday at 3pm.
In addition, the Tutor will no longer be performing.
Additional Friday hour
Friday flying finishes at 5.10pm – an extra hour of fantastic displays have been confirmed! From 4pm look out for the Breitling Wingwalkers, The Blades Display Team, Chinook, Miss Demeanour Hunter Jet and incredible Tornado duo.
Night Air displays
Thursday night the Wingwalkers will be gracing the skies, replacing the Tigers Parachute Display Team (who were unable to offer a full night jump, on both Thursday and Friday, due to Para Olympic commitments), with an awesome dusk display (7.45pm). The wingwalkers will be followed by Brendan O’Brien’s Flying Circus and the SWIP Twister Duo. However the Tigers will be jumping on Friday night at 7.45pm, again followed by Brendan O’Brien’s Flying Circus and the SWIP Twister Duo. Night Air displays on Thursday and Friday night are both started off by an iconic Spitfire at 7.20pm.

Welcome to Shoreham Airshow
The Royal Air Forces Association Airshow at Shoreham is one of the premier family airshows in the UK. The airshow regularly attracts the best UK and European display acts to its unique “garden party” atmosphere event each summer. The show is held to support the work of the Royal Air Forces Association which provides welfare and comradeship to all members of the Royal Air Force and Royal Air Force Regiment. Since the shows inception, the event has raised over £1.5million for RAFA.
Shoreham is the oldest licensed airfield in the UK and has a beautiful Grade II* listed art deco style Terminal Building.
The afternoon flying display will feature strong support from the armed forces as well as exciting aerobatic and emotive historic aircraft displays. We plan to include our famous “Scramble” scenario featuring historic Spitfires, Hurricanes and Messerchmitts in a thrilling set piece with pyrotechnics and re-enactors. On the ground there will be extensive static displays, arena displays, classic cars and trade stalls. .
