The Event
Pedal, Paddle, Pace (PPP) is a unique form of triathlon and an event that the whole family can enjoy. Participants cycle, run, and kayak their way through the highways and waterways of Hampshire. PPP is a carnival-like event for all the family, with the Triathlon at the heart of it.
The next Winchester PPP will be on Sunday 8 July 2012 at Palmer Field, Winchester, Hampshire.
The Course
- Pedal 20km through Hampshire Country Lanes (average time 1 hr)
- Pace 5km around the Winchester Meadows (average time 30 mins)
- Paddle 2km up the Itchen Navigation Canal (average time 20 mins)
Equipment
- Bikes suitable for road use and bike helmets to be supplied by Competitors
- Paddling equipment including bouyancy aids and paddles to be supplied by Organisers
- Controlled and secure bike facilities
- Parking at the St Catherine’s Hill Park and Ride, near Junction 10 on the M3
Points to Note
- All competitors must respect both the highway and country codes, and act in accordance with signs and marshals
- In the event of any traffic and or road restrictions rights are reserved to alter the course of the route without notice. The organisers cannot therefore be held responsible if the distance is not exact
- All participants must be able to swim a minimum of 25 metres and be in reasonable health
- Any child under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- Please contact us if your kayaker is under 16.
